GENERAL MANAGER
We are currently seeking a General Manager to lead our College Station branch and future branches. You have solid business insight, strong leadership abilities and great customer relations skills. You are the type of leader who inspires and motivates your team toward greater efficiency and your branch towards profitability.
Objective

Have regular communication and meetings with Operations team members and clients while building enduring relationships with them.

Be accountable for the efficiency of client work and increasing profit margin per contract.

Be responsible for overall management responsibility for the landscape operations crews.

Establish goals, priorities and objectives for operations teams and lead the execution of such.

Support hiring, on-boarding and mentoring of new team members.

Develop long and short-term strategic business planning.

Lead by example as teams strive for 100% highly satisfied customers.

Identify ways to provide more value to the customer.

In collaboration with the management team, review estimates, bids, proposals, and contracts.

Working with the Operations Manager, ensure work is executed with the highest quality, that budgets are met, and margins are exceeded.
Responsibilities
-
Establish and uphold the highest standards in landscape execution that is consistent with working in highly visible locations throughout Central Texas.

Develop and manage organizational structure, process, procedures, and controls to maintain highly professional and effective landscape programs to meet organizational and market demands.

Lead and manage multiple landscape projects ensuring projects are completed at, or under, budget and schedule, while meeting or exceeding established standards of quality.

Provide technical expertise in the management and administration of landscape contracts, leading the development and negotiation of change orders; resolving any contract disputes.

Responsible for developing overall project schedules; creating timelines and critical path scheduling for projects.

Participate in the review and submission of all bids, clarifications, and implementations.

A proven track record demonstrating your ability to build strong relationships with general contractors, and other clients, resulting in strong business performance.

Beyond your managerial capacity, you must demonstrate skills in project and time management, team motivation, decision making and technology (MS Office and costing/estimating packages).

A working knowledge of business accounting and P&L statements is required, plus broad knowledge of horticulture, landscaping equipment and managing a fleet of company vehicles.

Experience growing a branch/business is preferred.

Demonstrated people development and performance management skills.

Conduct operations development training.

Conduct weekly & monthly operations meetings.

Create operations targets and track daily, weekly, and monthly pacing based on projections.

Conduct performance reviews for assigned team members.

Manage operational data in LMN.
Direct Reports & Relationships

The General Manager will report directly to the CEO.
-
They will work closely with the COO and the President of Sales and Business Development, Operations Manager, and Maintenance Crew Leaders to properly coordinate all services, staff, equipment, materials and subcontractors.

They will lead and direct the Operations Team.
-
They will also work with the Office Manager on daily billing, job costing, KPI reports, company procedure checklist, client communication and customer workflows.
Experience, Skills & Education

Experience managing maintenance contracts, landscape add-ons, service agreements, or any other intangible services in commercial and residential environments.

Experience leading successful operations teams.

Clean driving and criminal record.

Expert level computer skills.

Office suite

CRM programs

QuickBooks is a plus

Strong math skills – experience gathering take-offs and estimating work.

Experience leading, organizing, and managing multiple people is a must.

Bilingual in English and Spanish is a PLUS.
